Udategiak
Create with our own hands a prototype to build autonomous spaces for growing vegetables indoors, to experience with interior architecture as a tool for urban regeneration.
In this free workshop within the Udategiak project, we will build a space the approximate size of around 4 × 3 meters, as a device to create conditions such as temperature, humidity, irrigation and light thanks to different sensors and controllers. This will allow vegetation of different climates (geography) and seasons (time) to grow in this space and will also maximize the efficiency of agricultural production. The artifact can be visited until April 4, 2021.
Before the workshop, on December 10, will be held at the Basque Country Architecture Institute the lecture of the architect and designer Antonio Scarponi, in which he will talk about the creation of artifacts of this type.
The Udategiak project is promoted by the Food Hack Lab. Udategiak has been created with the contribution of the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, the Basque Country Architecture Institute and the San Sebastián City Hall.
