Guided tours of “Tennis Square, Prelude to the Wind Comb” exhibiton
Discover, together with the exhibition curator Mario Sangalli, the key aspects of one of Donostia-San Sebastián’s most iconic public spaces through the exhibition “Tennis Square, Prelude to the Wind Comb”.
Through a chronological journey, visitors will be guided through the three dimensions that converge in Tennis Square — the natural, the architectural and the sculptural — revealing original documents, archive photographs and previously unseen materials that shape the history of this work by Luis Peña Ganchegui.
Born in Oñati in 1926, Peña Ganchegui succeeded in creating a space that engages in dialogue with the sea, the rocks and the wind, culminating in Eduardo Chillida’s sculptural ensemble and becoming an international landmark in landscape architecture. A unique opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of his legacy in the year marking the centenary of his birth.
